Red Bull is made fun of because of his small size and wonky back legs. He is told he will never be a winning racehorse, like his father, Pegasus. With courage, determination and the love of his family and friends, Red Bull sets out to prove everyone wrong. Set in the tropical grasslands of the African savanna to the rugged peaks and rounded hills of Wales, this is a story about never giving up.

I loved creating the illustrations for this special story. Micheal tells such an inspiring story, I am so pleased to be part of this project and it’s wonderful to see this book out in the world.

I created the front and back cover illustrations using gouache, coloured pencils and procreate, and the interior illustrations using procreate pencil.
